AILET Exam Notification 2024

AILET 2024 is scheduled to take place on December 10, 2023, at the National Law University in Delhi, as per the latest notification. Starting from August 7, the AILET 2024 online applications will be accepted through the nationallawuniversitydelhi.in website. The pen-and-paper test option for AILET 2024 will be conducted from 11 am to 12:30 pm.

Introduction

The question paper for BA LLB programs in AILET 2024 will consist of three sections: Logical Reasoning, English Language, and Current Affairs with General Knowledge. Conversely, the AILET LLM 2024 question paper will focus on English Language, Legal Reasoning, and essential legal concepts such as jurisprudence, constitutional law, intellectual property rights, and family law.

AILET Eligibility

AILET CoursesEligibility Criteria
BA LLBMinimum 50% overall in the 10+2 or equivalent test (45% for SC/ST/Persons with Disability).
Students may also apply for the UG programme if they are taking their 10+2 exam.
LLMLLB or equivalent degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/disabled students).
Those who are taking their LLB test in their final year are also eligible to apply.

How do I fill out the AILET application?

Applicants should follow the instructions below to complete the AILET application form:

Step 1: Online registration – Applicants must go to nludelhi.ac.in, which is NLU Delhi’s official website. Then, click “Register to Apply Now,” where they must enter information like their name, email address, password, birthdate, mobile number, and contact information to create a signup or login account.

Step 2: Choose a legal course. While the AILET test is offered for both undergraduate and graduate programmes in law, applicants must first choose one of the following options: BA LLB, LLM, or PhD. Candidates should click “Apply Now” after choosing a course to go to the next step.

Step 3: Fill out the application form completely – After successfully creating an AILET login account, applicants should provide the required data.

Step 4: Submit the papers. Applicants must upload their signature and photo in accordance with the requirements.

Step 5: Pay the application fee. Using an online payment gateway, candidates can pay the application price using a credit card, debit card, or net banking method. Instead, if an applicant prefers to pay the application fee offline, they must choose “Cash Deposit at Post Office” as their method of payment.

Step 6: Submitting the application form – After successfully paying the application fee, candidates must double-check the information on the AILET application form and submit it online only.

AILET Test Pattern

Before commencing their AILET preparation, applicants should have a thorough understanding of the test format and syllabus. The AILET exam pattern offers crucial insights into the exam’s structure, the number and types of questions, the scoring system, and other important details.

The AILET test will comprise 150 multiple-choice questions, each carrying one mark. To prepare effectively for the exam, candidates should refer to the recently updated AILET syllabus. The offline format of the AILET test will utilize OMR sheets and question papers. Here is a detailed description of the test format:

AILET Cut Off

After each counseling session, the institution releases the AILET cutoff. The AILET cutoff represents the minimum rank or score required for admission to NLU Delhi. Depending on their rank and score, applicants not included in the initial AILET cutoff or acceptance list may be considered in subsequent rounds. However, if an applicant fails to meet the cutoff rank in the final round, they are essentially disqualified from the admissions process.

Candidates who meet the AILET cutoff are required to accept the seat and complete the admission procedure by paying the course fees.
